Insomnium (death / doom metal with great melodies!)

Insomnium is a melodic death metal band from Joensuu, Finland, that play songs about sorrow, death, and loss. They also incorporate symphonic elements into their sound. The past years, their melodies have taken much more melancholic turn and the sound is overall much darker.

I like to tag every band with a genre name. Many times I am not sure about bands that mix slow tempos slow riffs and are really heavy ( eg. Autopsy) Sometimes i call this slow Death Metal and another time I call it Death Doom Metal. So where is the
Pretty self-explanatory: I recently discovered the following: The Howling Void (Funeral) Colosseum (Funeral) Void of Silence (Doom/Death) I'm pissed that I didn't know about them earlier. I recommend these to fans of the aforementioned styles.

What are some of the more obscure "Occult Doom" bands....I know Wounded Kings, Abysmal Grief, Blood Ceremony, Devil, Ghost, Devils Rain. I know theres got to be more out there...cant think, im low on my coffee intake this morning!
